A Wedding Weekend in Camiguin

6 · 6 · 2026   ·   Camiguin, Philippines

Explore Our Weekend

Welcome to Camiguin.

We are so happy you are here.

This island is very special to us, and it felt like the right place to begin this new chapter. There is something about Camiguin that makes you slow down a little, breathe more deeply, and notice what is around you. Its beauty is quiet, but deeply felt.

For our wedding, we wanted to gather in a place that feels calm, beautiful, and grounded in nature. More than anything, we wanted this weekend to feel warm, intentional, and full of gratitude.

Thank you for making the journey to celebrate with us.

Why Camiguin

We chose Camiguin because it holds so much of what we love: calm, beauty, depth, and a strong sense of place.

It is the kind of island that stays with you. From the springs and waterfalls to the sea, the mountain views, and the quiet roads in between, there is so much beauty here to take in. Everything feels a little softer, a little slower, and a little more present.

For us, Camiguin is more than a destination. It creates a feeling. It reminds us to pause, to appreciate, and to be grateful. That felt like the kind of setting we wanted for our wedding — and the kind of experience we hoped to share with all of you.

If you have time during the weekend, we hope you get to enjoy the island too, whether that means sightseeing, being by the water, visiting the springs or waterfalls, or simply taking in the landscape around you.

Why San Nicolas Church

Our wedding ceremony will take place at San Nicolas Church, a place that means so much to us.

For me, it is tied to some of my earliest memories of faith. When I was in kinder, I grew up going to Sunday Mass there every week, without fail. It was one of the first places where faith quietly became part of my life.

To return there now, and to begin our married life in that church, feels very full-circle.

What makes it even more meaningful is that Miguel chose to honor this part of my story by celebrating our wedding in Camiguin. In choosing this island, he embraced not only a beautiful place, but also one that shaped me long before we began building a life together. To me, that is such a meaningful expression of love.

San Nicolas is, for me, a place of memory, faith, and home. It feels only right that the sacrament at the heart of our wedding begins there.

Why Balihao

Our reception will be held at Balihao Resort, where we'll continue the celebration surrounded by the sea, the light, and the natural beauty of the island.

We were drawn to Balihao because it feels peaceful, intimate, and warmly welcoming. There is a simplicity to it that we really love. It allows the setting to speak for itself, while still feeling thoughtful and special.

For our wedding, we wanted a reception that felt beautiful, relaxed, and sincere — something that felt more like a meaningful gathering than a production. Balihao felt like the perfect place for that.

What to Expect

We hope this weekend feels relaxed, meaningful, and full of joy.

Expect a celebration shaped by island rhythm — warm light, sea breeze, tropical surroundings, and time to be present with the people around you.

Beyond the wedding itself, we hope you enjoy the many beautiful things Camiguin has to offer: its springs and waterfalls, its surrounding waters, its scenic views, and the simple pleasure of being somewhere so connected to nature.

More than anything, we hope this weekend feels like something to truly enjoy and remember.

Dress Guide

Friday Welcome Dinner

We warmly invite all guests to wear all white for the welcome dinner on Friday evening. It sets a beautiful, unified tone as we begin the weekend together.

For the wedding day, we kindly ask all guests to follow the attire guidelines below. These were chosen with care to honor the setting, the celebration, and the overall look and feel we hope to create together.

For Women

We kindly request long dresses in Filipiniana-inspired silhouettes. Think flowing fabrics, terno-inspired sleeves, or modern takes on traditional elegance — in tones drawn from our wedding palette.

Please keep fabrics breathable and island-appropriate. The celebration will flow between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the evening.

For Men

We kindly request black pants paired with a long-sleeve barong in beige tones. The barong tagalog is the heart of Filipino formal wear — and wearing it on this island feels especially meaningful.

Beige, cream, and warm ivory tones for the barong are preferred to maintain the cohesive look of the celebration.

We hope for an overall look that feels polished, festive, and at ease with the warmth and beauty of Camiguin. Thank you for helping us bring this vision to life.

A Few Helpful Notes

Camiguin is very much part of what makes this weekend special. It is an island shaped by nature in beautiful ways — through its springs, waterfalls, coastlines, mountain views, and slower pace of life.

As with any tropical island setting, weather may shift throughout the day, and mobile signal may be limited in some areas. We hope these small rhythms of island life become part of the experience — an invitation to slow down, stay present, and enjoy the beauty around you.

The Gift of Presence

Truly, your presence on this island is the greatest gift we could ask for. The fact that you are making the journey to Camiguin to celebrate with us means more than we can say.

But if you are feeling generous and wondering what to give two people who are about to share one closet — we would be so grateful for a monetary gift to help us build our life together. No need to wrap anything (we hear checked luggage to Camiguin is stressful enough).
